Wow. I understand you're trying to eliminate this claim: Loose Teeth: "Periogen® kills all destructive bacteria it comes in contact with during each application; keeping bacteriological colonies to a minimum and thus preventing further damage to bone and gum tissue." Is there a reward for finding one? :-) I just ordered Periogen through Amazon and am waiting for delivery. Currently Walmart has the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser $46.97 with free shipping. I got it in two days. Admin,

I bought a new one and I find that the pressure is not as good as the older one that I have. I have replaced the handle on the old one as it had been leaking and it provides a much stronger stream of water. I'm just wondering if there has been a change in manufacturers. I will be using the old one until it burns out. Susan Has anyone noticed a change in the WP-100? I bought a new one and I find that the pressure is not as good as the older one that I have. I live in Scotland and the UK government stopped a lot of payments to dentists for NHS treatment (which obviously doesnt include fancy surgery for gum disease, I don't suppose). Anyway the crux of the matter is that I have not been to a dentist in years. I was a nurse for 26 years before some illness. I went back to university after this and graduated last year with BSc (Hons) Applied Bioscience last July (2011). I have read most of what is written here and I am keen to use your product. I have just ordered it from Amazon.co.uk. I am loathe to start going back to dentists because I have no money (no job yet because of recession) and they scare me lol Also I do have plaque/tartar which I have actually managed to remove some small bits so far, by myself. However, on my lower set, I have one incisor which has a receding gumline due to me being a little vigorous in my brushing about a year ago. It got inflamed and then settled dow but now the gumline is low only there.Tartar building there. I dont have a waterpik or an electric toothbruch but a soft bristled manual toothbrush, with flexible arm to alert me to being too aggressive. Will this help? Im not sure if I have pockets, I don't think I do as this is my only problem. Thanks I am planning only to swish around to start with Hi there,

Here are the answers you seek: 1) Do you use Periogen after or before toothbrushing? Does it matter if you do it immediately or after brushing? I am under the impression that if you brush your teeth after it may wash away Periogen? Does this make sense? It is important to not use a product that leaves a residue prior to Periogen use. Brushing with a simple toothpaste, such as Tom's of Maine, prior to Periogen application is recommended. For best results, avoid using products after Periogen application for about twenty minutes. This includes eating; but don't let Periogen use interfere with your normal routine. 2) The Waterpik tip does not fit my portable water pik? Is it only meant for the non-portable version? If you are referring to our modified Pik Pocket tip; that tip only works with the Waterpik WP100. We are not fond of the portable Waterpik, as the units we tested are under-powered. 3) Stupid question, how do you know how deep your dental pockets? It is not like you can hold a measuring tape in your mouth? Not a stupid question. Your dentist and hygienist hold the secret to pocket depth as they have probes to determine those numbers. In general, pockets that are 1-2mm in depth are healthy, and deeper pockets indicate periodontal disease which may bleed during brushing and flossing. Deep pockets are often smelly; which you can test for by using an interdental brush between suspect teeth and then smelling the brush for foul odors. Hi Theo,
